Retired from a successful career in the corporate environment and with 52 plus years in engineering design, innovation, and analysis I am well qualified to support many specific needs for experience and sound engineering design or investigation.
Engineering Design Experience-Directly designed over twenty five successful major projects and dozens of smaller projects. Supervision and technical oversight over several departments and engineering groups. Directly experienced in analysis and investigations of mechanical, structural, hydraulic systems.
Engineering Management- Well versed and successful in developing and implementing engineering process improvements including stage-gate design process, product architecture, and task based scheduling. Applied Toyota Production System to Engineering/Office/Project based environment
Manufacturing Knowledge- Trained in continuous improvement methods and worked to produce successful results in many projects. Knowledgable in modern production systems- single piece flow, production line assembly.
Innovation- Author and co-author of eight patents.
Industry experience- Member of AEM-MADDDC committee for twelve years, Chairman of ANSI A10.31, member of ASTM F18.10 task group. Member of Society of Automotive Engineers, and American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineering.

General Information:
- Started in 1980 with Altec as Project Engineer.
- Previous Design Engineerig projects in agricultural tillage equipment and tractor mounted attachments.
- participated in the early design and production stages of Aerial Devices manufactured by Altec. Led design (& later teams) for many aerial device models and three models of digger derrick.
- Inventor/co-inventor of eight U.S. Patents.
- Raised on a livestock and grain farm in West Central Illinois.
- Graduated from the University of Illinois in 1973
- B.S Eng. Degree in Agricultural Engineering Power and Machinery.
- Married 53 years to wife, Liana.
- Father of two children, grandfather to six, and great grandfather to 4, soon to be two more.
